Senior Software Tester - Performance Testing (5-8 yrs)

Job Summary :

- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Tester to join our team in Ernakulam.

- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing with a focus on API and database testing.

- Experience with Azure DevOps and automation is essential.

- You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products by designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues.

Responsibilities :

- Design and execute test plans for REST APIs/ASP.Net Web APIs, MS SQL Server databases, web and desktop applications.

- Perform various testing types, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API and web UI testing.

- Utilize Azure DevOps for test case management, test plan creation, automated testing integration, and reporting.

- Perform data layer testing using MS SQL Server.

- Collaborate with developers to identify, document, and track software defects.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving software quality.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of testing best practices.

- Work closely with the development team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills :

- 5-8 years of experience in software testing.

- Proven experience in testing REST APIs and ASP.Net Web APIs.

- Strong experience in MS SQL Server data layer testing.

- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including Boards, Test Plans, automated testing integration and reporting, and Pipelines.

- Experience in automated testing of web and desktop user interfaces, backend components, databases, services, and APIs.

- Proficiency in generating scripts for API and web automation.

- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with performance testing tools.

- Knowledge of security testing best practices.

- Experience with other testing frameworks and tools.

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Educational Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
