FlexM - Senior Software Tester - Automation & Manual Testing (5-7 yrs)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Tester to join our Product Development team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software testing methodologies and demonstrate proficiency in both manual and automated testing.

With 5-7 years of experience in the tech industry, the Senior Software Tester will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through comprehensive testing and validation processes, while also contributing to support and implementation efforts.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Test Planning and Management :

- Develop comprehensive test plans covering functionality, performance, reliability, and usability.

- Manage testing schedules and ensure timely execution of test plans.

Automated Testing :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for regression testing, load testing, and other testing needs.

- Utilize automation tools such as Selenium, Test Complete, or similar platforms.

Manual Testing :

- Perform detailed manual testing, including exploratory, ad-hoc, and usability testing.

Defect Management :

- Identify, document, and track defects found during testing.

- Collaborate with the development team to ensure defects are resolved promptly and effectively.

Quality Assurance :

- Ensure all quality aspects are met, including functional correctness, performance benchmarks, scalability, and security compliance.

Continuous Improvement :

- Contribute to the enhancement of testing practices and processes.

- Stay updated on the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices.

Support and Implementation :

- Provide post-deployment support, addressing issues identified in production environments.

- Assist in implementing testing frameworks and tools to improve team efficiency.

- Collaborate with the implementation team to ensure seamless product deployment and integration.

- Train and support end-users during product rollouts to ensure successful adoption.

Team Collaboration :

Work closely with development, product management, and customer support teams to understand product requirements and ensure the final product meets customer needs.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 5-7 years of experience in software testing with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases.

- Proficiency in white-box and black-box testing techniques.

- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous integration processes.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.

- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst or Test Manager.

- Experience in performance testing and/or security testing.

- Knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, or C# for test script development
