Diamond Buyer

Position Overview:

As a Diamond Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality diamonds, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring procurement aligns with company standards and market trends. This role requires a deep understanding of diamonds, market analysis, and the ability to establish and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Role & responsibilities

• Source and procure diamonds that meet the company quality and certification standards.
• Evaluate diamond specifications, including carat, cut, clarity, and color.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
• Monitor market trends to identify sourcing opportunities and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to align diamond procurement with product requirements.
• Ensure compliance with ethical sourcing standards and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier agreements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in diamond procurement or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of diamond grading, certification, and market dynamics.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Attention to detail with the ability to evaluate diamond quality effectively.
• Familiarity with ethical sourcing practices and compliance standards.
• Bachelors degree in Gemology, Business, or a related field (preferred)
