The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developingand managing relationships with mine owners, traders, and other stakeholders inthe iron ore/steel industry. The role involves understanding the intricacies ofsteel making raw material, negotiation, and supply chain operations with astrong focus on port-related activities.
Key Responsibilities-
Build and maintain relationships with mineowners, traders, and key stakeholders in the iron ore/steel industry.
Develop procurement strategies for ironore/pellets/coal, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Conduct market research to understand pricingtrends and opportunities for cost optimization.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and ensuretimely deliveries to ports.
Oversee logistics operations, ensuring seamlessmovement of materials to ports.
Monitor port activities, including inventorymanagement and quality checks.
Collaborate with internal teams for procurementplanning and forecasting.
Ensure compliance with regulatory andenvironmental standards during procurement and transportation.
Qualifications-
Bachelors/Diploma degree in Supply ChainManagement, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience-
Minimum 8 years of experience in ironore/coal/pellets procurement, trading, or port operations.
Skills Competencies-
Strong understanding of steel making rawmaterial, B2B commodity sourcing.
Excellent negotiation and relationshipmanagement skills.
Knowledge of logistics, supply chain processes,customs and exports documentation.
Analytical skills to interpret market data andtrends.
