Role Overview:
Veterinary Assistants will be responsible for assisting to veterinarian during examination, treatment, surgical intervention process in small animals. You will work closely with veterinary professionals and staff to ensure the well-being of pets and other animals.

Key Responsibilities:

General Medical/Surgical care:
• Conduct History of pets before examination done by veterinarian
• Assisting the veterinarian during different procedure like treatment, vaccination, iv fluid therapy, surgical intervention, critical care and emergency
• Inpatient care, post operative surgical wound dressing/emergency
• First aid treatment during accident/trauma or any other condition under the supervision of
veterinarian

Basic skills:
• Perform Blood Collection, IV fluid therapy in pets
• Collaborate with veterinarian for advancement of better care of pets

Emergency Care:
• Provide first aid emergency care to animals in critical condition
• Be available for on-call duties as required.
• May involve working in rotational shifts.

Qualifications:

• DAH (Diploma in Animal Husbandry) degree from an accredited Polytechnic in animal husbandry College
• Minimum of 1yr experience of working in any pet hospital.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to a minimum 2-year tenure with Pet-First
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.

Working Environment:
• Primarily based at Pet-first Hospital, Hyderabad.
• May involve working in shifts including nights, weekends, festivals & public holidays.
