Role Overview:
As a Senior Veterinary Surgeon, you will oversee the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical care of pets. You will collaborate with our veterinary team, support staff, and pet parents to ensure the highest standards of animal health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Medical Expertise:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Administer treatments, vaccinations, and medications.
- Responsible to take care of pets both in IPD and OPD.
- Recommend dietary and lifestyle changes to promote pet health.

Surgical Excellence:
- Perform advanced surgical procedures, including orthopaedic, soft tissue, and ophthalmic surgeries.
- Oversee pre- and post-operative care and recovery.
- Provide physiotherapy services as needed.

Client Care:
- Communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly and empathetically with pet parents.
- Support families in managing chronic conditions or end-of-life care.

Diagnostics:
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work, x-rays, and ultrasounds.
- Collaborate with specialists for advanced diagnostic needs.

Team Collaboration:
- Mentor and work alongside veterinary staff and support teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through staff meetings and professional development.

Emergency Services:
- Handle critical cases and provide emergency care as needed.
- Participate in rotational shifts and on-call duties.

Qualifications
- Education: BVSc/MVSc from a recognized veterinary college.
- Experience: 3-5 years in small animal practice.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in India.
- Proficiency in veterinary software and record-keeping.
- Commitment to a minimum 2-year tenure with Pet First.
