Internship Trainee - Sales & Marketing (Travel / Tourism)

Role & responsibilities

Travel Agent Visits:

• Regularly visit assigned travel agents in designated areas to build and maintain relationships.
• Understand their business needs and promote ticketing opportunities.

Agent Activation & Onboarding:

• Identify and activate new travel agents for ticketing services.
• Assist in the onboarding process for new agents.

Revenue Growth:

• Drive sales by increasing revenue from active travel agents.
• Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products/services.

Daily Sales Reporting (DSR):

• Share daily updates on sales activities, visits, and performance with the management team.

Market Updates:

• Collect and report on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.

Collateral Management:

• Gather and communicate travel agents requirements for marketing materials and promotional collaterals.

Agent Support & Feedback:

• Understand agents requirements and concerns through regular interaction.
• Provide timely solutions or escalate issues to the appropriate departments.

Preferred candidate profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel within assigned areas.
• Basic understanding of sales strategies and customer engagement.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Prior experience or internship in sales, marketing, or the travel industry.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
