Zonal Head
Responsibilities:
1. Business Growth & Revenue Generation
- Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth in the POSP (Point of Sales Person) channel within the assigned zone.
- Ensure achievement of business targets, including revenue achievement, premium collection, policy issuance, and POSP agent activation.
- Monitor key performance indicators as defined by the organisation (KPIs) and take corrective measures when necessary.
- Ensure Return on Capital & Return of Capital.
2. POSP Recruitment & Expansion
- Drive recruitment of POSPs through various channels (digital, offline, partnerships).
- Build a strong network of active POSPs and ensure onboarding & training compliance.
- Collaborate with recruitment and marketing teams to enhance the POSP acquisition process.
3. Training & Development
- Ensure proper training and certification of POSPs as per IRDAI guidelines.
- Work with the Learning & Development team to upskill POSPs on product knowledge, sales techniques, and compliance.
4. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence
- Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations and company policies within the POSP channel.
- Conduct periodic audits, compliance checks, and risk assessments for POSPs.
- Address any regulatory concerns and coordinate with compliance teams as needed.
- Uphold reputation of the organisation on all point of time.
5. Channel Partner Management & Engagement
- Maintain strong relationships with POSP agents and key stakeholders to boost POSP productivity.
- Drive incentive programs, reward schemes, and engagement initiatives to motivate POSPs.
- Conduct regular review meetings to track progress and address challenges.
6. Digital & Tech Adoption
- Promote the use of digital tools, mobile apps, and online platforms for seamless POSP transactions.
- Identify opportunities for tech-driven improvements in sales processes.
7. Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead a team of regional and area managers to drive zonal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, underwriting, claims & Insurance Partners) to enhance efficiency.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of POSP distribution & insurance industry regulations and IRDAI
- Experience in handling large-scale recruitment and sales teams
- Excellent leadership, networking, and stakeholder management skills
- Data-driven approach with proficiency in sales analytics
- Ability to drive digital adoption and tech-based sales strategies
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
