Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and components for a wide range of industrial, commercial, or residential applications. This position involves ensuring the efficient operation of electrical systems, adherence to safety standards, and working closely with cross-functional teams on various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development:
  Design, implement, and optimize electrical systems and components for projects. Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control systems.
• Project Management:
  Lead or assist in electrical design and project planning for new installations, retrofits, or upgrades. Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
• Testing and Troubleshooting:
  Conduct tests and inspections on electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical malfunctions in a timely manner.
• System Integration:
  Work with other engineering teams to ensure the integration of electrical systems with other automation or mechanical systems. Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  Ensure electrical systems comply with local, state, and national regulations, including electrical codes and safety standards.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and manuals related to electrical designs, modifications, and maintenance. Document any changes or updates made to electrical systems and ensure they are communicated to relevant stakeholders.
• Energy Efficiency and Sustainability:
  Propose and implement energy-efficient solutions and systems. Support sustainability initiatives by designing electrical systems that reduce energy consumption and minimize environmental impact.
• Maintenance and Support:
  Provide ongoing support for electrical systems, conduct preventative maintenance, and perform upgrades or repairs as necessary to maintain operational continuity.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:
  
• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Technical Skills:
  
• Strong understanding of electrical design, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, MATLAB, ETAP).
• Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and automation systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of power distribution, electrical motors, and control systems.
• Certifications:
  
• Certification or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of industry-specific certifications (e.g., NEC, IEC standards) is desirable.
