Junior Engineer - Site Execution

Role & responsibilities

1. Site Supervision

• Assist in supervising day-to-day construction activities to ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
• Monitor on-site tasks assigned to laborers and subcontractors for quality and progress.
• Report issues or delays to the senior engineer or site manager promptly.

2. Quality Checks

• Conduct basic quality checks on materials, workmanship, and construction processes.
• Ensure compliance with construction standards and rectify minor deviations under guidance.

3. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of daily work, material consumption, and manpower deployment.
• Prepare and submit daily progress reports to the senior engineer or site manager.

4. Coordination

• Liaise with subcontractors and laborers to communicate project requirements and ensure task execution.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely material delivery under senior engineers instructions.

5. Safety Compliance

• Monitor adherence to safety protocols and report non-compliance to supervisors.
• Conduct basic safety inspections and address minor safety hazards on-site.

6. Material Management

• Assist in receiving, storing, and tracking construction materials on-site.
• Verify the quality and quantity of materials delivered to the site.

7. Cost Awareness

• Support the senior engineer in monitoring material and resource usage to prevent wastage.
• Identify opportunities to optimize material and resource utilization.

8. Learning and Skill Development

• Actively participate in on-site training sessions to develop technical skills.
• Stay updated on construction practices, techniques, and standards relevant to site execution.

9. Compliance and Support

• Assist in ensuring construction aligns with local regulations and permits.
• Provide support in resolving minor technical or on-site issues.
