Job Description

Operations manager for Merchandising is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders at Ultraviolette to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement and fulfilment of products that align with the company\u2019s merchandising strategies.

JobResponsibilities:

Vendor Selection and Onboarding

Identify and evaluate potential vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.
Negotiate contracts and terms of agreements with new vendors.
Ensure new vendors are properly onboarded and understand company policies and standards.

Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, addressing any issues or concerns.
Foster long-term partnerships to ensure stability and reliability in the supply chain.

Cost Management

Negotiate favourable terms and pricing with vendors to optimize costs.
Analyse market trends and pricing to ensure competitive procurement.
Work with the finance team to manage budgets and cost forecasts.

Risk Management

Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure vendors comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Monitor market conditions to anticipate supply disruptions.

Ownership across value chain

Coordinate with sourcing and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
Liaise with quality control teams to ensure product standards are met.
Ensure inventory is in line with anticipated demand

Experience:

6+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the retail or merchandising sector. Background of global sourcing preferred
