About the Role :
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Technical Program Manager with deep expertise in the payments domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing backend processes of card payments. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, program management skills, and a business consulting mindset to deliver robust payment solutions and drive strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Program Management :
- Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of payment-related programs, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality standards are met.
- Oversee multiple technical projects, tracking progress, resolving bottlenecks, and managing dependencies across teams.
- Define program goals, KPIs, and success criteria in alignment with business objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including business, technical, and external partners, to gather requirements and ensure program alignment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with payment networks like Mastercard, Visa, or Amex, as well as key partners and vendors.
Solution Delivery :
- Work closely with architects and engineering teams to design and implement scalable, secure payment solutions.
- Drive the development and deployment of backend processes such as transaction processing, settlements, and reconciliations.
Risk and Compliance Management :
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with program execution and payment system operations.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with PCI-DSS standards and other relevant payment industry regulations.
Business Process Optimization :
- Analyze and improve backend payment workflows to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Provide business consulting expertise, identifying gaps and recommending solutions to address operational challenges.
Leadership and Communication :
- Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, QA, product management, and operations, to ensure cohesive program execution.
- Present program updates and status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements :
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the payments domain, with a focus on managing card payment programs.
- Hands-on experience with Mastercard, Visa, or Amex processes is highly preferred.
Preferred Skills & Competencies :
- Strong understanding of payment systems, transaction processing, and settlement workflows.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale technical programs involving multiple stakeholders and teams.
- Knowledge of APIs, payment gateways, and system integrations.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Confluence.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern technology stacks.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical environments.
