Procurement Engineer - Electrical & Instrumentation

Job Description :

1.            To ensure on-time availability of Electrical & instrumentation equipments & items & indented items for ongoing projects.

2.            Review indents and understand the technical requirement of the item to be procured.

3.            Issue and administrate PO's through ERP-Oracle system as per project schedule.

4.            Tracking progress of orders and ensuring timely delivery of various procurement items in line with project delivery schedule..

5.            Collaborating with Engg, Projects, QAC, Logistics, Commercial & Finance departments.

6.            Collarboration with Projects and Engineering for technical clearance etc

7.            Ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials.

8.            Coordination with commercial for required documentation for effecting dispatches for out to out consignments

9.            Vendor visits for follow up for critical items

10.          Maintaining proper documentation for each PO like received quotations, comparative statements, negotiation done etc

11.          Adherences to Project schedules & also maintain Vendor OTP consistently.

Desired Profile/Competencies of the job :

1.            Good Knowledge of Manufacturing process including standards & testing requirements.

2.            Knowledge on taxes and duties and Project Commercial transactions

3.            Knowledge of contracting, taxation and commercial terms of the contract for effective negotiations

4.            Knowledge of Costing, Fair pricing & Techno-Commercial Negotiation

5.            Willingness to travel for vendor visit for expediting at regular interval.

6.            Knowledge of Project procurement and sourcing

7.            Knowledge on taxes and duties.

8.            Knowledge of ERP, Excel, or MS Projects

9.            Technical knowledge on bought outs.

10.          Should be a good team player.

11.          Application of acquired technical knowledge.

12.          Ability to influence cross-functional department.

13.          Should carry positive mind-set and adapt as per job requirement.

14.          People Management skills
