About the role: The Partner - UX Research is a leadership role with full ownership of the UX Research vertical, ensuring research insights drive impactful product decisions. Reporting to the Chief Business Officer (CBO), this individual contributor role comes with high autonomy, P&L ownership, and the opportunity to shape Thences research practice. This is a remote-first role with quarterly office visits to Bangalore and 30% travel for client engagements. As a Partner, youll receive ESOPs, directly tying your success to the companys growth. We seek an entrepreneurial researcher who can drive initiatives independently and make a lasting impact.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive UX Research strategy to deliver consumer insights for digital products.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research (user interviews, field studies, usability testing) to inform product decisions.
- Translate research findings into actionable recommendations for product managers, designers, and business teams.
- Act as a strategic consultant for clients, helping them understand user needs and align insights with business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research into product development and improve user experience.
- Identify business opportunities and up-selling possibilities by leveraging research insights to drive value for clients.
- Design and execute end-to-end research projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables within timelines.
- Develop frameworks, methodologies, and best practices to enhance research efficiency and impact.
- Advocate for a data-driven and human-centered design approach across the organization.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, adopting innovative research methodologies to enhance Thences capabilities.
- Present research findings to internal stakeholders and clients, influencing decision-making at a strategic level.
- Ensure research initiatives align with business objectives and contribute to product innovation and growth.
Experience & Expertise:
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in UX Research, Consumer Insights, or Human-Centered Design for digital products.
- Proven expertise in conducting end-to-end research from planning to execution, synthesis, and strategic recommendations.
- Strong background in qualitative research methods (e.g., user interviews, ethnographic studies, usability testing) with exposure to quantitative research (e.g., surveys, behavioral analytics, A/B testing).
- Ability to translate research insights into actionable product decisions, influencing design, development, and business strategy.
- Willing to travel 30% for client visits and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Open to working remotely but comfortable with quarterly visits to the Bangalore office.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights.
