The Sleep Company is revolutionizing the industry with cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions. We are looking for a highly skilled Mobile Application Lead to take charge of our mobile application development and drive impactful user experiences on iOS and Android platforms.

Position Overview

As a Mobile Application Lead, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end mobile application lifecyclefrom conceptualizing and designing to development, testing, deployment, and release to app stores. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality mobile applications while leading a team of developers and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role demands strong development expertise, leadership skills, and efficient project management.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Mobile Development

• Oversee the full application lifecycle, from design to development, testing, and deployment to app stores (Google Play and Apple App Store).
• Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and usability standards.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create seamless and visually appealing user experiences.
• Work closely with backend teams to integrate APIs and backend services efficiently.

Technical Leadership

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of React Native-based mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Build reusable components and libraries to improve development efficiency.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, responsiveness, and performance.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in mobile application development, tools, and practices.

Project Management

• Define project goals, timelines, and deliverables while aligning with business objectives.
• Utilize project management tools like Jira to track progress, allocate tasks, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Conduct regular progress reviews, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to mitigate delays.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best coding practices and standards.
• Drive team productivity and skill enhancement through regular feedback and training.

Qualifications & Skills

Technical Skills

• Expertise in React Native for building cross-platform mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of native app development in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin/Java (Android) is a plus.
• Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and integrations.
• Hands-on experience with debugging, performance optimization, and app testing.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
• Knowledge of mobile app deployment processes and compliance with App Store and Google Play guidelines.

Leadership & Management

• 5+ years of experience in mobile application development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of leading projects from concept to deployment.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools like Jira or Trello.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
• Familiarity with analytics tools such as Firebase or Mixpanel for tracking app performance.
• Knowledge of mobile accessibility standards and user-centric design principles.
