Expected qualification: Masters in Mechanical Engineering

Expected experience: about 10 years

Tools experience: MSC Nastran, Altair Optistruct, Hypermesh, ANSA

Job Description -

• Proficient at developing automotive body structures (trimmed and un-trimmed) using FEA pre-processing tools to meet defined performance targets, specifically - attainment of modal frequencies, global static and dynamic stiffness, point mobilities, localised dynamic stiffness, VTFs and NTFs.
• Proficient at running baseline CAE NVH analysis, summarise results and feedback conclusions in an efficient manner to Manager.
• Able to work effectively and independently with design teams to develop solutions to the automotive product within defined deadlines and time constraints.
• Have an awareness of potential design constraints (packaging, manufacturing etc.) and ensure due consideration is given to above in developing solutions.
• Ability to carry out automotive BIW, component, trimmed body, chassis etc. performance evaluation using NVH CAE tools to meet defined performance targets and support design confirmation and test-to-CAE correlation.
• Ability to lead development of Body structures using FEA, to meet defined NVH performance targets.
• Ability to run MSC Nastran SOL 101, 103, 108, 111 and 200 (or Optistruct equivalent) including de-bugging of analysis runs.
• Experience of NVH development in commercial vehicles (CV) domain (SCV, LCV, MCV, HCV) will be a definite plus.
• Conduct test support and test-to-CAE correlation.
• Ability to handle team of 2 to 3 people.
• Awareness about full vehicle NVH analysis will be an added advantage.
• Should have good verbal and written communication skill
