CAE Engineer

Job Summary

The FEA team lead is responsible for performing numerical simulations of damper components using finite element method supporting engineering teams in order to verify/optimize designs to satisfy strength and durability requirements.

Mission

Key target for the member is provide numerical solution to solve engineering problems in order to develop and optimize product design.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• FEA engineer will act as an individual contributor and as a team lead providing numerical simulations support as follow:
• Understanding the simulations scope, requirements and acceptance criteria
• Prepare FE model according to simulations objectives and Tenneco simulation standards Run simulations, identify potential issues and take appropriate action.
• Perform post processing by proper interpretation of FE results for engineering decisions Create FEA report with appropriate results summary and practical engineering conclusions Maintain records of all activities and results in CAE database.
• Support team members for deliveries.

Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong knowledge of solid mechanics theory and practice in fundamentals of machinery design Proficient knowledge of finite element method theory and practical applications
• Proficient usage of applied basic FE software: HyperMesh
• Abaqus nCode
• Other software usage (required in specific cases)
• Tosca Structure Isight HyperStudy AmeSim
• Pthon scripting
• Ability to provide engineering suggestion concerning design performance improvement based on FEA results.
• efficiently.
• Proficient knowledge of using statistical analyses tools and DOE (Design of Experiment) techniques, to effectively optimize the design.
• problems, and accomplish challenging goals.
• Provide the technical support for less experienced FEA engineers
• Ability to plan and execute FEA simulation plan for complex designs development

Education / Experience:

• Masters degree in mechanical engineering in FEA specialization.
• Postgraduate study in specifics CAE range (optional).
• 8 Years Experience
