Job Title: School Procurement Executive
Location: Bangalore
Overview:
The School Procurement Executive plays a vital role in the operational success of an educational institution by overseeing the procurement and management of supplies, equipment, and services necessary for the schools effective functioning. This position ensures that quality products and services are acquired in a timely and cost-effective manner. By establishing relationships with various vendors and conducting thorough market research, the Procurement Executive helps facilitate the smooth operation of day-to-day activities in the school. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall educational environment by ensuring that the learning and teaching facilities are equipped with the best resources possible. The Procurement Executive must possess an analytical mindset, strong negotiation skills, and an ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This position is integral to promoting an organized, efficient, and budget-conscious procurement system that aligns with the school s educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for the school.
  • Identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all supplies and services.
  • Maintain a database of vendor contacts and procurement records.
  • Analyze market trends to anticipate future procurement needs.
  • Collaborate with different departments to understand their procurement needs.
  • Evaluate bids and proposals submitted by suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with school procurement policies and regulations.
  • Conduct quality assessments of goods and services procured.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to school management.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with key vendors.
  • Provide training and support to staff on procurement procedures.
  • Address any procurement-related issues efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of market research and analysis.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of educational materials and services is a plus.
  • Experience in budget management and cost analysis.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations in procurement.
  • Willingness to adapt and learn new procurement practices.
