Overview
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) Individuals and Societies Teacher plays a crucial role in guiding students through an engaging curriculum that fosters critical thinking and encourages students to connect historical and contemporary events with their own experiences. This position is integral to the development of informed, reflective, and thoughtful global citizens prepared for challenges in an ever-changing world. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans in Individuals and Societies.
- Utilize inquiry-based learning approaches to stimulate student interest.
- Facilitate discussions that promote critical thinking and reflection.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Integrate technology as a tool for learning and collaboration.
- Develop interdisciplinary projects that connect different subject areas.
- Foster a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Encourage student participation in community and global issues.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians.

- Adhere to IB philosophy and framework in all teaching activities.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
- Provide guidance and support for students in their learning process.
- Contribute to the school s community and extra-curricular activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field.
- Teaching certification appropriate for secondary education.
- Experience teaching IB MYP curriculum preferred.
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning methodologies.
- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools.
- Experience with student assessment and evaluation techniques.
- Knowledge of cultural and global perspectives.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
