Overview
The IB MYP English Teacher plays a pivotal role in shaping the minds of young learners at our prestigious institution in Jaipur for the academic year 2025-26. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans based on the IB MYP curriculum.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Create a positive classroom environment that fosters open communication and respect.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Incorporate technology into lesson delivery to enhance learning.
- Promote critical thinking and analysis through the study of diverse literary texts.
- Encourage student participation and collaboration through group activities and discussions.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and school activities.
- Support students personal and academic growth through mentorship and guidance.
- Participate in professional development and stay updated on IB teaching methodologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning and classroom management strategies.
- Facilitate extracurricular activities related to English literature and language.
- Maintain records of students performance and communicate effectively with educational stakeholders.
- Adapt teaching methods based on student feedback and performance analytics.
- Participate in school events and contribute to the development of a vibrant school culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification compatible with IB standards.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience teaching English at the middle school level.
- Strong knowledge of IB MYP framework and assessment criteria.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for education and communication.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in designing curriculum and assessment tools is preferred.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to teach in a diverse environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and fostering student engagement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and parents.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
