The Senior Manager, Critical Infrastructure, is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and security of all critical infrastructure systems. This role leads the strategy, development, and implementation of facility management programs related to power, security, HVAC, telecommunications, and other core infrastructure systems. The Senior Manager ensures business continuity through effective disaster recovery planning, risk management, and compliance with regulatory requirements, while maintaining a safe and productive working environment for employees and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership Strategy Development:
Lead and manage the facilities infrastructure team to ensure the optimal functioning of all critical infrastructure systems.
Develop and execute long-term infrastructure strategies that align with business goals and ensure the scalability and resilience of the facility.
Provide leadership and direction for continuous improvement initiatives related to the infrastructures performance, safety, and energy efficiency.
Infrastructure Management Optimization:
Oversee the maintenance and operation of key infrastructure systems, including power supply, HVAC, lighting, water systems, telecommunications, and security.
Ensure all systems are regularly inspected, upgraded, and optimized to meet business needs and reduce operational downtime.
Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operational performance of the facilitys critical systems to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
Risk Management Disaster Recovery:
Lead the development, implementation, and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring that critical systems remain functional during emergencies.
Identify potential risks to critical infrastructure and implement mitigation strategies to reduce vulnerabilities and system failures.
Coordinate with IT and security teams to ensure that physical and cybersecurity systems are integrated and aligned with disaster recovery plans.
Compliance Regulatory Oversight:
Ensure that facility infrastructure systems comply with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, fire safety, environmental, and building codes.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry-specific standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and ensure facilities operations adhere to these standards.
Lead audits, inspections, and reporting to meet regulatory and safety requirements, ensuring that the facility passes all required evaluations.
Budgeting, Cost Control Vendor Management:
Develop and manage the budget for critical infrastructure operations, including planning for capital expenditures, maintenance, and upgrades.
Ensure cost-effective management of facility resources and identify opportunities to optimize spending while improving infrastructure efficiency.
Oversee vendor management, ensuring high-quality services are delivered in compliance with SLAs and negotiated contracts.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with third-party service providers for maintenance, repair, and infrastructure-related projects.
Project Management Infrastructure Upgrades:
Lead major infrastructure projects, such as the installation of new systems, building renovations, or facility expansions, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet operational needs.
Work with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring that all infrastructure projects support the businesss operational goals.
Monitor project progress, manage resources, and resolve any issues or roadblocks that may arise during the implementation phase.
Energy Management Sustainability:
Implement strategies to reduce energy consumption, improve efficiency, and lower costs related to facility infrastructure.
Develop sustainability initiatives, working with stakeholders to explore eco-friendly solutions and renewable energy sources to support company-wide sustainability goals.
Track and report on the facility s energy consumption, waste management, and environmental impact.
Team Development Leadership:
Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the critical infrastructure team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Recruit, train, and retain high-quality infrastructure management staff.
Conduct performance reviews, set development goals, and ensure the team remains aligned with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Facility Manager (CFM), LEED) are preferred.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in managing facility infrastructure in a corporate or BPO environment.
Hands-on experience with critical systems such as HVAC, power, and backup systems, as well as knowledge of safety and security systems.
Experience in vendor management, regulatory compliance, and project management.
Skills Abilities:
Strong understanding of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety, and power generation systems.
Ability to manage multiple vendors, projects, and tasks efficiently.
Knowledge of emergency response procedures, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to manage facility-related issues.
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with frequent site visits to various facilities within the company.
Must be able to respond to on-call emergencies for facility-related problems.
