Job Purpose:
- Team member will own and manage Recoveries at a national level for Prefr PL portfolio and will be accountable for 2 key metrics1)Financial- Delivering desired rate of recovery (ROR) in charged-off accounts.
- Cost control to maintain profitability and make business sustainable.
2)Strategic & operating- Building recovery infrastructure including people and processes.
- Building culture of high performance, compliance and accountability.
What you will do: - Define and lead the implementation of various collections strategies for zones and recoveries call center - Lead zonal and regional recovery collections field and call center teams to deliver on collections targets via inhouse and agency setup and various other mechanisms.
- Responsible for recovery collections costs while ensuring zones are managed in a cost effective manner.
- Setup and lead adherence to governance processes across zones- ensuring right app governance, take ownership of proper reporting of input and output metrics across regions and ensure team members and agencies are operating within code of conduct guidelines - Onboarding and managing ongoing relationships with agencies to deliver outcomes.
- Collaborate with strategy and policy teams to identify and solve segment specific challenges ex- Risk profile / category and / or diff geographies.
- Work with strategy team on capacity planning and KPIs for different roles in recoveries.

- Cost of recovery - 100%processadherenceandcodeofconduct adherence
Must haves :
- 10+years indebt collections or recoveries.
Including at least 5 years at a leadership role in collections (regional / zonal or national level) in BFSI domain.
- Experience in team management and have managed large teams (50+) including outsourced / 3rd party agents.
- Experience in agency management- Must have good rapport with collections agencies and capabilities to onboard large / mid sized agencies across the country.
- Experience in strategizing collections based on vintage, segments and geographies etc - Must have working knowledge of collections in unsecured lending (preferably in fintech space).
- Must be able to identify problems using data and take data based decisions for solutioning.
- Must have working knowledge of various tools for collections and recoveries
- Must have seen scale in one or more organizations and should have managed collections and recoveries during bad credit cycles.
Scale would mean around 2.5 X growth in AUM / disbursal (500cr monthly).
- Ability to influence stakeholders (internal and external).
Nice to have - Expertise in litigation in debt management (direct or through a third party)- Knowledge of new age legal (digital notices/arbitration with the use of platforms like presolve 360/credgenics) and newage tools skip tracing tools (data from e-com operators, location tracing through digital footprints etc.
