- Is responsible for managing the information system of the organization which includes but not limited to installing, upgrading or repairing of this information.
Primary responsibilities:
Strategic and planning:
- Equip and develop expertise on Bank's requirement for data and put in place best practices for its storage, retrieval and dissemination on a need to know basis and on appropriate duly approved requests.
- Develop analytical tools and maintain dashboards to project business growth and potential to assist sales and marketing force to benefit from the same by way of growth in business.
Functional:
- Gain expertise on IT skills such as web content development, Database creation, maintenance and storage.
- Ensure data quality, integrity and continuous on-going measures to enhance the usage and its reliability.
- Keep abreast on Bank's business - products and the underlying data structure to analyse and produce meaningful insights into their business growth.
- Keep abreast on RBI circulars, other regulations in force by all regulatory and governing agencies such as State, central Governments, legal and enforcement authorities to ensure maintenance of required data and to share on a need to know basis for the benefit of the organisation and all stake holders.
- Maintain regular interactions with all user Departments within the Bank and external regulatory and governing agencies for data requirements, the modus operandi of its collection and maintaining consistency and integrity.
- Familiarise on the various applications running and used in the Bank and the features available to disseminate the knowledge to all category of users for overall benefitting the Bank and in ensuring effectiveness of the usage.
Internal process:
- A log of all activities carried out by users and as an individual in the MIS will ensure measure the performance on the above as KPI.
- Maintain data dictionary of all the data elements collected and maintained and relate the usage to business development of the Bank, besides ensuring consistency and its integrity.
People development:
- Share knowledge gained with peers and also interact for closure coordination and efficacy in the resources of the Bank.
- Ensure that the employees within Division maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, integrity, and control in execution of all their daily operations.
- Drive a performance driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members.
- Take overall responsibility for identification of training needs and completion of mandatory training programs/certifications for self and subordinates.
- Mentor and coach subordinates to develop the team's capabilities and build a robust succession pipeline.
- Ensure that the all the departments reporting to him/her are adequately staffed as per the manpower requirements.
- Ensure high level of employee engagement and retention of key performers.
- Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
