Position: Sr. GM / GM - Sourcing & Supply Chain Management (Open to hire either of the one as per the skill set)

Our Client is looking for an experienced & dynamic Sourcing & Supply Chain Leader to oversee the growth and management for ensuring that a company has the right products at the right time and cost. S/He will manage the flow of products from procurement to distribution and work with suppliers, vendors and other stakeholders and set up an end-to-end network. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding our sourcing strategy across markets / regions through onboarding partners for the assigned territory and ensuring our brand standards are upheld across all suppliers.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain a cost model for materials and components used in electric vehicle manufacturing and use this model to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

- Develop and implement a strategic supply planning process that considers market trends, demand forecasts, and production schedules to ensure the timely delivery of materials and components.

- Develop and maintain a supplier scorecard that measures supplier performance in areas such as quality, delivery and cost, and use this scorecard to drive supplier improvement and reduce costs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to reduce supply chain costs through product design, process improvement, and supplier selection.

- Develop and implement a risk management plan for the supply chain that identifies potential risks and outlines strategies for mitigating those risks.

- Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and labour standards, and work with suppliers to address any identified issues.

- Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to identify potential opportunities to improve the supply chain and reduce costs.

- Develop and implement a supplier diversity program that promotes the inclusion of diverse suppliers in the supply chain.

- Use data analytics tools to monitor and analyse supply chain performance metrics and use these insights to drive continuous improvement.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure collaboration and alignment on strategic objectives.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and components required for the manufacturing of electric vehicles.

- Manage a team of supply chain professionals to ensure effective communication and collaboration across the organization both in Indian and Global Geographies.

- Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply of high-quality materials and components for the manufacturing process.

- Develop and maintain a network of suppliers that can provide the company with the necessary materials and components at competitive prices.

- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure the company receives the best possible terms.

- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained and develop systems to identify and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.

- Work closely with production teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and components to meet production schedules.

- Implement processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to the supply chain.

- Continuously monitor and analyse market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the supply chain.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including engineering, production, and finance teams, to ensure alignment on supply chain priorities and objectives.

Position Objectives:

- All purchases follow policy and procedure

- Each purchase amount is within budget (except as individually approved by Management and/or Budget Manager)

- Best price, as measured by internal policy (comparing the price paid to the price on competing quotes, for example)

- Minimum (preferably zero) import / export duties and taxes

- No interruptions to the network due to equipment availability

- No stock-outs due to delay by suppliers or any other logistics issues at any location

- Good relations with all departments, acting in a support role to help them maximize their effectiveness in their respective areas by taking on the role of designated negotiator and - buyer's advocate

- All staff are well trained in the tools and skills of their respective positions, and are motivated to achieve the KPI's

Job Requirements

- Education: Masters or equivalent education in Supply Chain / Operations Management or Equivalent Education from well-regarded Institutes / University

- Communication: Very good English skills (spoken; good written English skills are a plus), as the role will routinely interact with international teams and suppliers (internal and external to the company). Preferably someone who can speak Kannada and earlier worked in the South India markets.

Experience:


- Proven track record in Sourcing and Supply Chain development, preferably having experience of setting up green field projects nationally and if having an international experience in sourcing would be an advantage within the Automotive (OEM or Spare Parts) / High End Luxury (FMCD)/ Retail / Lubricants or similar Industries only for B2B2C businesses (10 - 15 + years)

- Strong IT skills, including Excel; must have experience with an integrated purchasing system, such as an ERP.

- Preferably someone, who have experience in setting up the National or International Channel /New Partner development within Startups or Global Organization from ground ZERO & creating brand visibility.
