Position : Lead - Corporate Finance
Location : Marathahalli, Bengaluru
Reports to : Founder / CEO
Job Summary
Our Client is seeking an experienced Corporate Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of their company. This role will involve detailed contract reviews, MIS analysis to derive actionable insights, and the development of financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability. The Corporate Finance Manager will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, risk management, and driving financial decision-making processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Develop and manage comprehensive financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flows
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual performance to forecasts and provide actionable insights
- Assist in the development of long-term financial strategies to ensure company growth and profitability
- Analyze investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships to support corporate development initiatives
2. Contract Review and Management:
- Review financial terms of contracts to ensure alignment with business objectives, compliance standards, and profitability
- Work with legal teams to negotiate favourable contract terms, focusing on financial risk mitigation
- Ensure timely execution of financial obligations in contracts and monitor their financial performance
- Identify financial risks and recommend strategies to address them within contract frameworks
3. Management Information Systems (MIS) Analysis:
- Develop and manage MIS reports to provide key insights into the company's financial health
- Perform detailed financial analysis of MIS data, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
- Derive actionable pointers from MIS data to inform business decisions and enhance operational efficiency
- Drive improvements in the collection, reporting, and analysis of financial data to support real-time decision-making
4. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring all business units provide accurate and detailed forecasts
- Monitor budget adherence, flagging variances and recommending corrective actions
- Provide ongoing forecast updates to reflect changes in the business environment or company strategy
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment between financial goals and business operations
5. Cost Control and Efficiency:
- Monitor company expenses and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Implement financial controls to minimize unnecessary expenditures and optimize resource allocation.
- Review capital expenditure proposals, providing financial justification and recommendations.
6. Financial Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks related to market fluctuations, currency exchange, interest rates, and other factors.
- Develop strategies to hedge against risks and protect the company's financial position.
- Ensure all financial operations comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
7. Stakeholder Management and Reporting:
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management, the board of directors, and external stakeholders.
- Prepare presentations and reports for investors, regulators, and auditors.
- Act as a key point of contact for financial audits and external reviews
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CA / ICWA / MBA / CFA or equivalent education from IVY League well-regarded institutes
- 10-15 years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or financial analysis
- Strong knowledge of financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting processes
- Experience in contract review, MIS reporting, and driving financial strategies
- Solid understanding of financial risks and strategies for mitigating them
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Prior experience in a fast-growing or large-scale organization
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software
- Strong relationship management skills with banks, investors, and senior leadership
