Position: Head - Dealer Development
Our Client is looking for an experienced & dynamic Leader for Dealer / Channel Development Leader to oversee the growth and management of our dealer development network. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding our market presence through onboarding dealer partners for the assigned territory and ensuring our brand standards are upheld across all dealership locations.
Responsibilities:
Dealer Network Expansion:
- Identify and conduct discussions / interviews with potential dealership prospects within designated territories.
- Develop and execute strategies to recruit new dealerships that align with company objectives and market demand.
- Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and gaps in our current dealer network.
- Conduct thorough follow-up for due diligence of partners being onboarded.
- Ensure adherence to timelines for completing infrastructure construction on time and opening as per approved Architecture Plans and under stringent timelines to ensure & meet organization growth.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing dealerships & create network of prospective partners.
- Provide ongoing support and training to dealerships on product knowledge, sales techniques, and operational best practices.
- Collaborate closely with regional sales teams to ensure alignment on dealer management strategies and sales goals.
Operations, Performance Monitoring, Training and Optimization:
- Set up process to include development of facility plan & execution of facility development
- Monitor and analyse dealer performance metrics and dealer scorecards, including sales targets, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction ratings.
- Develop action plans to address underperforming dealerships and implement initiatives to drive sales and profitability.
Contract Negotiation and Compliance:
- Negotiate dealership agreements and contracts, ensuring terms are competitive and compliant with company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure all dealerships adhere to CI norms, brand standards, operational guidelines, and regulatory compliance.
Market Insights and Strategy:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Utilize market insights to recommend strategic initiatives and improvements to dealer development strategies.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of dealer interactions, contracts, and performance metrics.
- Conduct regular audits & prepare timely reports and presentations for senior management on dealer network performance and growth initiatives.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse data and market trends to drive strategic decision-making.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PPT & Word).
- Willingness to travel frequently to visit dealerships

Requirements:
- Education: MBA in Sales & Marketing or Equivalent Education from well-regarded Institutes / University
Experience:
- Proven track record in dealer development, sales management or a similar role within the Automotive / High End Luxury Retail Products / FMCG / FMCD/ Retail / Lubricants or similar Industries only for B2C businesses (12+ years).
- Preferably someone, who have experience in setting up the National or International Channel /New Dealer development within Startups or Global organization from ground ZERO & creating brand visibility.
