Performance Test Engineer - JMeter/LoadRunner (4-7 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer to ensure the optimal performance, scalability, stability, and reliability of our observability platform. In this role, you will design, develop, and execute performance tests while automating scenarios and simulating real-world data conditions.

As a self-starter, you will play a key role in driving improvements across our platform and product suites.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute performance tests to evaluate software application responsiveness, throughput, and scalability.

- Conduct load tests to simulate heavy user loads and identify performance bottlenecks.

- Perform stress tests to assess system stability under extreme conditions and identify breaking points.

- Develop and maintain automated performance testing scripts using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or similar.

- Simulate real-world scenarios by generating realistic data sets and conditions for testing.

- Monitor and analyse performance metrics to identify issues and collaborate with development teams for resolution.

- Prepare detailed performance test reports with analysis and recommendations for optimizations.

- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to configure test environments that replicate production conditions.

- Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.

- Maintain documentation of performance testing methodologies, scripts, and configurations.

Skills and Qualifications Required :

- 5+ years of experience in performance testing methodologies and tools (i.e., JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner).

- Proficiency in scripting and coding (i.e. Java, Python) for automation.

- Knowledge of data simulation techniques and performance monitoring tools.

- Familiarity with load balancing, caching, and database performance optimization.

- Experience in identifying and resolving production performance issues, including tuning applications, servers, and databases.

- Hands-on experience with chaos engineering tools (i.e. Chaos Monkey) to test system resilience.

- Strong understanding of web protocols, APIs, and network configurations.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance tests into development workflows.

- Knowledge of fault tolerance and system resilience strategies.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering results-
