Sykatiya Technologies - DFT Design Engineer - ATPG/MBIST (3-7 yrs)

Responsibilities :

As a DFT Engineer, you will :

DFT Strategy and Implementation :

- Develop comprehensive DFT strategies tailored to SoC architectures.

- Plan and implement MBIST (Memory Built-In Self-Test), scan insertion, scan partitioning, wrapper insertion, and scan compression techniques.

ATPG and Validation :

- Perform ATPG (Automatic Test Pattern Generation) to ensure high fault coverage with optimal test patterns.

- Conduct ATPG simulations to validate and debug the DFT architecture and ensure test pattern quality.

SoC Design Expertise :

- Work on flat and hierarchical SoC designs, addressing challenges in DFT implementation for large-scale designs.

- Collaborate with front-end and back-end teams to align DFT with overall design goals.

Boundary Scan and JTAG :

- Design and verify boundary scan logic and implement JTAG (Joint Test Action Group) for efficient SoC testing.

- Develop debug-friendly test architectures for effective post-silicon validation.

Timing and Constraints Management :

- Create and validate STA (Static Timing Analysis) constraints for DFT-specific modes.

- Optimize design timing and layout to ensure manufacturability and performance.

Toolchain and Automation :

- Utilize advanced EDA tools (e.g, Mentor Tessent, Synopsys DFTMAX, or Cadence Modus) to automate and streamline DFT flows.

- Develop custom scripts in TCL, Python, or Perl to enhance productivity and debug efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications :

Experience :

- 3-7 years of experience in DFT implementation, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs in production environments.

Technical Expertise :

- Proficiency in MBIST, scan insertion, scan compression, and ATPG.

- Strong knowledge of hierarchical and flat SoC DFT methodologies.

- Expertise in JTAG and boundary scan techniques.

- Familiarity with STA and constraints management for DFT modes.

EDA Tools :

- Hands-on experience with tools like Tessent, DFTMAX, or Cadence Modus for DFT and ATPG flows.

Programming Skills :

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as TCL, Python, or Perl for workflow automation.

Soft Skills :

- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, collaboration skills, and a passion for driving technical excellence.
