We are seeking a skilled Memory Characterization Engineer to work on the characterization and generation of front-end and back-end views for standard cell libraries. The candidate will be responsible for building robust characterization setups, verifying and validating libraries, and automating QA checks to streamline processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform characterization and generation of front-end and back-end views for standard cell libraries.
- Develop and maintain custom cell characterization setups and flows.
- Conduct thorough library verification and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Automate QA checks for tasks in characterization flow setups and validation.
- Document processes, record issues, debug results, and implement solutions to enhance workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of libraries.
- Optimize workflows and ensure compliance with project and quality standards.
Mandatory Skills :
- 5+ years of experience in memory characterization and standard cell library generation.
- Strong knowledge of characterization tools and flows.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Perl, or TCL for automation.
- Experience with library validation and QA processes.
- Excellent debugging skills for identifying and resolving issues in flows and outputs.
- Strong documentation and communication skills to articulate workflows and solutions.
- Characterization and generation of front end and back end views for standard cell libraries
- Custom cell characterization setup and flows
- Library verification and validation
- Automation for the QA checks, for small tasks in setting up the flows for characterization and QA
- Documentation of and recording the issues, debugs, solutions and new/enhanced work flows
Nice to Have Skills :
- Familiarity with tools like Cadence Liberate, Synopsys SiliconSmart, or similar.
- Knowledge of advanced process nodes (<5nm).
- Experience in low-power memory characterization and optimization techniques.
- Understanding of EDA tools used for back-end and front-end flow integration.
Education :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
