Opening for position of Marketing manager with a leading Textile company .
Education : Graduate/ Engineer, preferably MBA
Experience : Progressive functional experience in a senior business development role, preferably in the textile industry
The role holder will be responsible for the growth and expansion of fabric business division by supporting business operations, providing effective product support and services to customers; and overseeing administration and resource management to drive sales in accordance with the profitability guidelines, business expansion goals and ensure achievement of business targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead business development and customer management activities for the fabric business; driving initiatives like identifying critical geographies for business expansion, tactics for penetrating new markets and acquiring new customer including building long term strategic partnerships, product portfolio mix, guidance on product pricing and new product development
- Liaison with customers to understand any stated/ unstated needs and provide effective product support and services through efficient internal coordination with the functional teams of the Fabric business unit to build company's position as a preferred partner
- Obtain qualitative requirements from customers of the business channel and translate customer projects into requirements to the functional teams, support Research & Development to drive new product development and secure sales leads for the Fabric business
- Continuously liaise with internal functional teams and act an intermediary for coordinating procurement and supply of orders, post contractual and service support issues
- Support process improvement initiatives to reduce operational costs, streamline manufacturing processes and improve quality of goods produced to drive customer satisfaction through superior delivery at optimal costs
- Address issues related to compliance, customer complaints and other non-conformance concerns, support closure of any plant level non-compliances and lead efforts to drive anytime readiness for plant inspections by ensuring processes are in alignment with the corporate policy of the organization
- Identify risks that can impact production and guide the divisional teams to develop mitigation plans based on risk and vulnerability analyses on spend areas with an aim to minimize contingent costs on account of any infringements of statutory/contractual obligations
- Provide thought leadership and direction to business including building organization culture, establishing measurable individual and team objectives that are aligned with business goals, handling performance appraisals of subordinates, playing an active role in hiring and developing subordinates and providing suggestions for superior employee experience and retention of critical employees across the team
