BMC Remedy/Helix Developer - System Administration (4-6 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for a skilled BMC Remedy/Helix Developer and Administrator with 4-6 years of relevant IT experience in BMC Remedy (9.x) development, BMC Helix setup, and administration.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ITSM development, ARS (Action Request System), CMDB, ADDM, and SQL Server 2014.

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining BMC Remedy and Helix solutions, as well as migrating from on-premise Remedy to BMC Helix SaaS. The candidate should have a solid understanding of ITSM modules and ITIL best practices.

Key Responsibilities :

Development and Customization :

- Design, develop, and customize BMC Remedy (9.x) and BMC Helix solutions to meet business requirements.

- Work on ITSM modules such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Work Order, SRM (Service Request Management), and SLM (Service Level Management).

- Develop and maintain workflows, forms, and integrations using ARS (Action Request System).

CMDB and ADDM Expertise :

- Manage and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Application Dependency and Discovery (ADDM) tools.

- Ensure accurate and up-to-date configuration data for IT assets and services.

- Perform data reconciliation and normalization in CMDB.

Migration from Remedy to Helix :

- Lead and execute the migration process from on-premise BMC Remedy to BMC Helix SaaS.

- Analyze existing Remedy configurations, workflows, and data to ensure a seamless transition to Helix.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration strategies and timelines.

Administration and Support :

- Administer and support BMC Remedy and Helix environments, including user management, security, and performance tuning.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BMC Remedy and Helix applications.

- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations as needed.

Integration and Reporting :

- Integrate BMC Remedy/Helix with other enterprise systems using APIs, web services, and middleware.

- Develop custom reports and dashboards to provide insights into ITSM processes and performance.

Documentation and Best Practices :

- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, migration plans, and operational procedures.

- Follow ITIL best practices and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Experience: 4-6 years of hands-on experience in BMC Remedy (9.x) development and BMC Helix setup and administration.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in BMC Remedy ITSM development, ARS, CMDB, and ADDM.

- Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2014 and database management.

- Experience with ITSM modules such as Incident, Change, Problem, Work Order, SRM, and SLM.

- Familiarity with Atrium Core and Action Request System (ARS).

Migration Experience :

- Proven experience in migrating from BMC Remedy (on-premise) to BMC Helix (SaaS).

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
