About the Product Department:
- Our product team is driven by collaboration, data / analytics, and continuous improvement. We work closely with cross-functional teams-engineering, design, marketing, and analytics-to optimize user experiences, improve conversion rates, and deliver value to millions of customers.
- Product controls not just the execution and technology/experience but also the business and PnL impact such as key business metrics of Revenue, Marketing/other burn Costs, Pricing and Margins, # of Users, CAC and MAU.
About the Role:
- We are seeking Product Manager - Consumer Payments to drive the growth and success of our UPI and Bill Payments products. You will be responsible for researching the next relevant product for the users, optimizing the workflows, ensuring the best UX while working with product designers, tracking product such as Accounts Linked, Payment Success rates, Customer issues raised, fraud prevented, etc and business metrics on CAC, MAU, fee earned and more.
- Your goal will be to look at both getting new users as well as improving retention of existing users by launching relevant products for the user base. This is a key role where your strategic thinking and data-driven approach will directly impact business outcomes.
What You'll Do:
- Work closely with senior leadership in Product, Technology and Business to articulate business needs to actionable product requirements.
- Own up the relevant product metrics and the lagging PnL, revenue and cost numbers every month for the lending business.
- Write detailed product requirement documents, lead product processes (Agile/Scrum) and manage deliverables.
- Obsess with data, define and track key metrics and draw actionable insights using data. Use data to monitor key metrics, identify trends, and inform decisions that enhance user experience and maximize business impact.
- Periodically conduct user-research, industry analysis, competitor mapping and ideate on what to build next. Develop and execute the product strategy for our UPI offering, ensuring alignment with company goals and market trends.
- Stay aware of evolving regulatory requirements related to UPI, ensuring full compliance and adherence to relevant laws and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Software Development, Analytics or similar roles in a B2C product set-up (MBA is not required).
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering and/or related field.
- 3+ Years of experience in building payments flows on UPI track.
Skills you will need:
- Strong problem-solving skills for identifying and addressing challenges in the product. Should be able to think creatively, analytically, and strategically to overcome obstacles and find solutions.
- Need to have deep understanding of UPI Collect, QR, Intent, Auto Pay flows, and can understand and suggest API and write query on database when needed.
- Ability to manage and multi-task under tight deadlines. Should have a high degree of ownership. This involves setting clear goals, making decisions decisively, and seeing initiatives through to completion.
- Excellent communication, written/verbal and problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills so as to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Good to Have skills:
- Experience of having improved metrics for a B2C product.
- Worked in a B2C Startup for more than 3+ years (preferably in Fintech).
- Experience with integrating UPI solutions with Banks and NPCI.
