Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to drive IT solution sales in the government sector. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in selling Smart City solutions, software solutions, hardware, and transportation solutions to government entities. This role requires high-level engagement with senior government officials and extensive travel across large regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a government-focused sales strategy across northern states (Jammu, Punjab, UP, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, including Section Officers, Undersecretaries, Deputy Secretaries, Joint Secretaries, and Additional Secretaries.
- Confidently engage and hold discussions with senior-ranking government officials to drive business growth.
- Generate new business opportunities by identifying and responding to tenders, RFPs, and government procurement needs.
- Present and pitch Smart City Solutions, Software, Hardware, and Transportation IT solutions effectively.
- Drive revenue growth by managing the sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
- Collaborate with internal teams for solution customization, proposal preparation, and successful project execution.
- Travel extensively (10-12 days per month) across assigned territories to meet clients and explore new opportunities.
Key Requirements:
- 12-18 years of experience in IT solution sales to the government sector.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes, tenders, and large-scale IT projects.
- Proven track record of successfully selling Smart City, Software, Hardware, and Transportation Solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers.
- Confidence and ability to hold strategic discussions with high-ranking government officials independently.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across large regions for business development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Experience working on government projects, tenders, and IT infrastructure implementations.
