Job Title: Plant Head Manufacturing

Location: Jalgaon, Maharashtra
Experience: 10-15 years in manufacturing leadership roles, preferably in the electrical components industry.

Role Objective

As the Plant Head, you will lead and oversee all aspects of the plants operations, including production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, P&L, and workforce management. The role demands a strategic visionary who can drive operational excellence, ensure cost efficiency, and uphold quality standards. You will play a pivotal role in aligning the plant’s objectives with the organization’s growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute long-term strategies to optimize plant performance and ensure operational excellence.
• Translate organizational goals into actionable plans for the plant’s departments, ensuring alignment with the company's growth trajectory.
• Identify opportunities for technological advancements and automation in manufacturing processes.

End-to-End Manufacturing Operations

• Oversee all manufacturing processes, including fabrication, assembly, powder coating, and dispatch, to ensure seamless operations.
• Monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Implement robust systems for real-time tracking of production efficiency, quality, and downtime.

Quality & Compliance

• Establish stringent quality standards and ensure adherence to industry regulations and certifications.
• Drive continuous improvement programs like Six Sigma and lean manufacturing to minimize defects and rework.
• Conduct regular quality audits and lead initiatives for corrective and preventive actions.

Supply Chain & Inventory Optimization

• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain.
• Implement inventory management practices such as JIT and demand forecasting to reduce holding costs.
• Strengthen vendor partnerships to secure cost-effective and timely procurement of raw materials.

Team Development & Leadership

• Build a high-performing team through effective recruitment, training, and mentoring.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability among employees.
• Set clear performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to drive continuous improvement.

Cost Control & Efficiency

• Monitor and control operational expenses, identifying areas to reduce costs without compromising quality.
• Optimize plant layouts, workflows, and resource utilization to improve overall efficiency.
• Develop and manage the plant’s budget, ensuring financial discipline and ROI on investments.

Safety & Sustainability

• Promote a culture of workplace safety, ensuring strict compliance with safety protocols.
• Implement sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact and reduce the plant’s carbon footprint.

Key Qualifications

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related fields.
• MBA or equivalent in Operations or Supply Chain Management (preferred).

Experience

• 10–15 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a plant head or senior operations role.
• Proven track record of delivering operational efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement in a manufacturing setup.

Technical Expertise

• Deep knowledge of fabrication, assembly, powder coating, and electrical component manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in lean manufacturing, 5S, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and manufacturing analytics tools.
