Position Title: Internal Auditor

Role Overview:

The Internal Auditor is responsible for implementing and monitoring the Enterprise Risk Management framework and performing audits across various processes, functions, and business operations. This role ensures compliance with company policies, evaluates the adequacy of controls, and provides recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Internal Audit:

1. Draft and maintain the Internal Audit Charter in alignment with international standards.
2. Develop risk-based annual audit plans, detailing scope, nature, and timing of audit activities.
3. Design and execute internal audit procedures and work programs.
4. Advise management on resource requirements for the Internal Audit function, including potential outsourcing needs.
5. Conduct internal audits to evaluate the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of established controls and procedures.
6. Identify and assess key risk areas within the organization and propose appropriate mitigation controls.
7. Review the accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of financial and operational information provided to management.
8. Discuss audit findings and recommendations with line managers and escalate significant issues to senior management.
9. Prepare detailed audit reports in line with the approved audit plan.
10. Monitor the timely implementation of management actions recommended in audit reports.
11. Provide senior management and the Board of Auditors with an opinion on the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of internal controls.

Continuous Improvement:

1. Promote the development of an internal control culture, including staff training and awareness initiatives.
2. Stay updated on trends and developments in internal auditing and risk management.
3. Conduct ad-hoc investigations and reviews as requested by senior management.
4. Liaise with external auditors regarding internal control issues.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

Technical Expertise:

• Strong understanding of internal audit, risk management, and control functions.
• Experience with financial institutions or financial services environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with international auditing standards and best practices.
