Internal Auditor - Micro Finance

The internal audit focuses on verifying various aspects of branch operations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. This includes assessing previous audit findings and actions taken, evaluating the performance and adherence to responsibilities of branch, cluster, and divisional managers, as well as scrutinizing specific areas such as loan appraisal, documentation, disbursement, and overdue loans management.

Key areas of scrutiny include the diligence of managers in following prescribed processes, such as punctuality, commitment, and integrity, and ensuring loan appraisal procedures are conducted properly. The audit also examines loan documentation practices, adherence to loan disbursement policies, utilization of idle funds, and adherence to cash deposit and withdrawal processes. Additionally, it assesses the management of overdue loans, center meetings, client dropouts, pre-closure procedures, and identification of problematic borrowers like ringleaders or ghost borrowers.

Furthermore, the audit covers aspects related to HR management, including staff behavior analysis, grievance handling, and training effectiveness. It also reviews expenses management, commission collection practices, fixed assets verification, and stock verification for Branch Lending (BL). The goal is to ensure that all operations are conducted in line with company policies, with a focus on maintaining integrity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Compliance with these standards is crucial for mitigating risks and ensuring smooth branch operations while safeguarding the interests of both the company and its clients.
