ForeScout NAC - L1 Engineer

Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced NAC - L1 Engineer to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience in network security, with a strong background in managing and implementing Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.

This role requires proficiency in working with Windows, Linux, and Unix environments, as well as experience in automating processes using scripting and configuration tools. The NAC - L1 Engineer will be responsible for maintaining service levels, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring the security of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
NAC Management:
Manage and maintain NAC solutions with a focus on ForeScout NAC.
Deploy and maintain access and security policies for NAC solutions.
Conduct daily performance checks, periodic audits, and ensure compliance.
Implement and maintain network security policies, standards, and procedures.
Design and implement NAC solutions for DC/DR/Cloud and branch office environments.
Investigate, isolate, and resolve NAC incidents, providing root cause analysis (RCA).
Network Security Operations:
Proactively utilize network monitoring tools to identify events before service degradation.
Perform immediate troubleshooting for any network outages reported by users or operational personnel.
Troubleshoot issues across layers 1, 2, and 3 of the OSI Model, including network, transport, session, presentation, and application layers.
Manage incident, problem, service request, change, configuration, and capacity management for NAC setups.

Technical Expertise:
Hands-on experience in commissioning and implementing NAC solutions, integrating with management and authentication tools such as email, AD, IAM, SIEM.
Experience in packet capture, analysis, and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, Pcap).
Work with SOAR tools and automate processes using scripting.
Coordinate with users and various IT teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents and high-priority issues.
Collaboration and Documentation:
Coordinate with OEMs for TAC support, RMA, replacement, and reconfiguration of NAC solutions.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including as-built network diagrams, inventory control, and security documentation.
Develop SOPs, run books, and update the knowledge base in ITSM tools.
Collaborate with the helpdesk and other IT support teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
Leadership and Mentorship:
Lead and mentor L1 and L2 engineers, providing guidance and support in resolving complex issues.
Ensure ticket closure within SLA and follow up on escalated tickets.
Prepare SLA reports for the respective technology.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
1-3 years of overall experience in network security, with at least 1 years in managing NAC solutions.
Hands-on experience with NAC solutions and integrating them with various management and authentication tools.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in managing NAC solutions, particularly ForeScout NAC.
Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
Experience in automating processes using scripting and SOAR tools.
Expertise in packet capture, analysis, and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, Pcap).
Familiarity with REST API/SDK integrations with security dashboards and Infosec tools (e.g., AD, IDAM, PAM, SIEM, SOAR).
Communication and Documentation:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
