Planning Manager / Planning AGM/ DGM

Role & responsibilities

The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, cost control, and quality management on construction projects, ensuring timely completion within budget while adhering to project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the construction project from start to finish.
• Experience in High Rise Building construction from concept to commissioning.
• Minimum criteria could be of projects executed for 30+ floors.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures (WBS), timelines, and milestones using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6).
• Prepare look-ahead plans for short-term and long-term project execution.
• Allocate resources efficiently across project phases, including manpower, equipment, and
  materials.
• Monitor resource utilization and identify potential bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Track project costs against budget, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.
• Analyse cost reports and prepare forecasts for future project expenditures.
• Conduct regular progress reviews with project team members and contractors.
• Generate detailed progress reports highlighting key metrics like completion percentage, critical path status, and potential risks.
• Should be conversant and guide on statutory approval aspects.
• Follow up & attending the Design Coordination meetings with architects / structural for timely delivery of drawings.
• Coordinating the project controls for preparing and finalization of Schedule, Budget, Estimates, Manpower Requirements and Material Requirements.

Qualifications, Experience & Competencies:

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Civil engineering with 10+ years of experience in civil construction activities.
• Good communication, presentation, team working skills.
• Should be computer literate.

Specific areas of experience:

Knowledge of High rise residential & commercial buildings is required.

Proficiency with planning and scheduling software like MS Project / Primavera software.
