Senior Software Development Engineer - Test - API Testing (5-8 yrs)

Job Title : Senior SDET (RestAssured )

Location : Bangalore

Experience : 5-8 Years

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for RESTful APIs.

- Develop and maintain automated test suites using RestAssured and other relevant testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG).

- Perform API testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.

- Analyze test results, identify and document defects, and track them to resolution.

- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to developers on testability and code quality.

- Implement and maintain test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.

- Stay abreast of the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.

- Mentor junior SDETs and contribute to the growth of the testing team.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5-8 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on API testing.

- Strong experience with RestAssured and other Java-based testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG).

- In-depth knowledge of RESTful APIs, HTTP protocols, and related technologies.

- Experience with API testing tools and techniques (Postman, SoapUI).

- Experience with SQL and databases.

- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).

- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Skills & Experience :

- Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Serenity)

- Experience with performance and security testing.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)

- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Groovy)
