Senior Software Development Engineer - Test - Automation Testing (5-8 yrs)

The core responsibilities for the job include the following :

Core Testing and Automation :

- Design, develop, and maintain advanced test automation frameworks for end-to-end testing.

- Build and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, WebDriver, Cucumber, and TestNG with Python.

- Conduct cross-browser testing on platforms such as Safari, Chrome, and mobile browsers.

- Develop and execute automated web service tests and write complex SQL queries for backend validation.

- Perform gray-box testing and debugging to troubleshoot critical issues effectively.

Leadership Evolution :

- Work closely with Product, Development, and Business teams to align test scenarios with customer use cases.

- Own automation pipelines, ensuring seamless execution and delivering regular progress updates.

- Mentor junior engineers, guiding them on best practices in automation testing and QA methodologies.

- Transition into a leadership role by coordinating and managing a team of automation engineers.

Test Strategy and Agile Processes :

- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to story discussions and writing detailed test cases.

- Perform requirement analysis to identify and mitigate issues early in the development cycle.

- Develop comprehensive test plans, and strategies, and release sign-off documentation for smooth deployments.

Process Improvement and Metrics :

- Leverage testing metrics to identify and implement process and efficiency improvements.

- Advocate for best practices in automation, QA methodologies, and continuous integration.

Requirements :

- 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.

- Strong proficiency in Python for test automation. Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks such as

Selenium, WebDriver, TestNG, and Cucumber.

- Expertise in keyword and data-driven automation frameworks and developing automated web service tests.

- Solid understanding of backend systems, including Linux, MongoDB other NoSQL databases, and GraphQL APIs.

Automation and CI/CD :

- Experience implementing and managing Continuous Integration pipelines.

- Familiarity with request tracing in microservices architectures.
