Overview :
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Telecom Manual Tester with over 4 years of experience in the telecom domain, particularly in OSS (Operations Support Systems) and BSS (Business Support Systems). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of telecom processes and workflows, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
Testing and Validation :
- Perform comprehensive manual testing of telecom applications and systems, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and system testing to validate OSS/BSS functionalities.
- Analyze requirements, create detailed test cases, and execute test plans for various telecom solutions.
- Identify and document defects using defect tracking tools and ensure timely resolution in collaboration with development teams.
Domain-Specific Expertise :
- Validate workflows and processes specific to OSS (e.g., network management, provisioning, fault management) and BSS (e.g., billing, CRM, order management).
- Ensure end-to-end testing of telecom functionalities, including data integrity and system reliability.
Collaboration and Reporting :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure seamless delivery of telecom solutions.
- Prepare and present detailed test reports, defect logs, and summaries to stakeholders.
- Provide feedback on product quality and recommend improvements based on test results.
Continuous Improvement :
- Identify opportunities to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and tools in manual testing and the telecom domain.
Qualifications and Skills :
Educational Background :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Technical Skills :
- Strong understanding of telecom OSS/BSS architecture and workflows.
- Proficiency in creating and executing test cases for telecom systems.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools (e.g., TestRail, ALM).
- Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation and querying telecom databases.
- Understanding of APIs and their testing is a plus.
Soft Skills :
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Prior experience with telecom-specific systems such as provisioning platforms, billing systems, or CRM applications.
- Knowledge of telecom protocols, standards, and regulations.
- Exposure to automation testing is an added advantage.
