Purchase Manager (Nutraceutical Manufacturing)

Role Overview:
The Purchase Manager will be responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality raw materials (RMs) and packaging materials (PMs) for nutraceutical manufacturing. The role requires effective vendor management, cost optimization, and ensuring timely procurement to meet production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Management: Identify, evaluate, and procure raw materials and packaging materials as per production requirements.
2. Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and onboard new vendors.
3. Cost Optimization: Analyze market trends and negotiate competitive pricing without compromising quality.
4. Quality Assurance: Ensure all procured materials meet quality standards and regulatory compliance.
5. Inventory Coordination: Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
6. Documentation: Maintain purchase records, vendor agreements, and compliance documents.
7. Coordination: Work closely with R&D, production, and QC teams to align procurement with project timelines.
8. Problem Resolution: Address supply chain issues, delays, or quality concerns proactively.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's/Master's in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in nutraceuticals, pharma, or food industries.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (FSSAI, GMP).
• Proficiency in inventory and procurement software.
