Senior Manager/AVP - Legal - LLB/LLM (9-15 yrs)

Job Title: Sr. Manager / AVP - Legal

Location: Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

- Expertise in the asset or wealth management sector to oversee and manage the company's legal and regulatory matters and provide strategic legal guidance, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, draft and review contracts, and support business operations.

- Legal Advisory: Provide proactive legal advice to the business and management teams on asset and wealth management regulations, contracts, and strategic matters. Ensure compliance with SEBI, RBI, and other regulatory requirements applicable to AMCs or WMCs.

- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, including investment management contracts, client agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and more. Mitigate legal risks by ensuring clear, enforceable, and legally compliant contract terms.

- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB). A master's degree in Law (LLM) is a plus but not mandatory.

- Minimum 9-15 years of legal experience in the asset manageme, wealth management and financial services industry.

- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry-specific legal and regulatory developments and ensure timely implementation. Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage reporting requirements along with Dispute Resolution and Policy Development.
