Job Description
Senior DevOps Engineer (Lead) Job Details | Singtel Group Search by Keyword Search by Location Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Senior DevOps Engineer (Lead) Key Responsibilities Team Leadership Management: Allocate resources effectively to ensure operational objectives and SLAs are met. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members. Oversee the monitoring, management, and resolution of incidents to meet SLAs. Ensure timely identification and resolution of stuck orders. Coordinate and participate in daily stand-up meetings, providing clear direction and priorities. Incident Management Problem Resolution: Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent incident recurrence. Liaise with Level 3 and 4 support teams as necessary. Ensure effective communication during escalations and major incidents. Documentation Process Improvement: Maintain and improve documentation for systems, processes, service agreements, and operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance operational efficiency. Data Analysis Reporting: Collaborate with IT, Network, and Business stakeholders to align operational activities with business objectives. Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the development of long-term operational strategies. Technical Expertise Support: Provide technical guidance on MySQL, Oracle, Linux, Python, and PHP. Oversee the use of cloud-based infrastructures such as AWS or Azure, and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Promote best practices in DevOps methodologies and tools. Operational Readiness Availability: Ensure systems are highly available and meet the demands of customer-facing products. Be flexible with working hours, providing leadership support during major incidents or events. Qualifications Proven experience in a 24x7 operations environment supporting mission-critical systems for external customers. Experience supporting highly available and high-demand customer-facing systems and products. Technical Skills: Expertise in MySQL and Oracle database management. Strong Linux administration skills. Advanced programming and scripting abilities in Python and PHP. Proven experience with data analytics and reporting tools. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with Dynatrace, ELK Stack, and generating reports using large data sets. Experience with Confluence and Jira. Soft Skills: Exceptional people management and team management abilities. Experience in working in a geographically distributed environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior management. Highly organized with keen attention to detail. Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when necessary.
- Provide in-depth analysis, generate reports, and offer insights on operational performance, system metrics, and improvement initiatives.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills and data analytics tools to handle large data sets.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
