Silver Pumps - Purchasing Manager (9-10 yrs)

- Responsible for overseeing the procurement of all raw materials and components needed for solar panel production, including sourcing reliable suppliers, negotiating prices and contracts, managing inventory levels, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining quality standards, all while strategically aligning purchases with the company's production goals and cost optimization initiatives within the solar industry

Key responsibilities may include:

- Strategic Sourcing:. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of solar Raw Material of PV Module, and other critical components.

- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favourable pricing and terms

- Develop and implement a supplier selection strategy based on quality, price, delivery reliability, and technical capabilities

- Procurement Management:. o Review and process purchase requisitions from production teams

- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate specifications and quantities

- Monitor supplier performance against agreed-upon delivery schedules and quality standards

- Manage inventory levels to optimize stock and avoid shortages or overstocking.

- Contract Negotiation:. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.

- Draft and review supplier contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

- Manage contract renewals and amendments as needed

- Quality Control: Establish and implement quality control procedures for incoming materials

- Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues with suppliers

- Monitor supplier quality performance metrics

- Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations, volume discounts, and alternative sourcing strategies

- Analyse purchasing data to identify areas for cost reduction

Team Management: Lead a team of purchasing agents or buyers, assigning tasks and providing guidance

- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the purchasing team's skills and knowledge.. Required Skills and
