Job Description

Job Title: Sales Head - Polymer Division
Location: Raipur
Department: Sales

Position Summary:

The Sales Head for the Polymer Division will lead the development and execution of the sales strategy for the companys polymer products. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, managing customer and vendor relationships, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction in the polymer industry. The Sales Head will lead a team of sales professionals and work closely with the marketing, production, operations, and vendor teams to meet and exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and implement the sales strategy for polymer products, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
    • Conduct market analysis and identify growth opportunities in both existing and new markets.
    • Manage and refine sales processes to enhance efficiency and performance.
  2. Vendor Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure product quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
    • Negotiate vendor contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms for the company.
    • Collaborate with vendors on new product development and innovations to meet customer demands.
    • Monitor vendor performance and work with vendors to resolve issues, ensuring consistent product availability.
  3. Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, ensuring their growth and success.
    • Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the team, and hold them accountable for performance.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and professional development to improve team capabilities.
  4. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders.
    • Identify customer needs and provide innovative solutions to meet those requirements.
    • Address customer concerns and ensure the highest levels of service delivery.
  5. Revenue & Growth Generation:
    • Drive sales growth in polymer products by targeting both new business and expanding existing accounts.
    • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.
    • Develop pricing strategies and ensure profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
  6. Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
    • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports for senior management.
    • Monitor the effectiveness of sales activities and provide actionable insights.
    • Analyze sales data to identify trends, customer behaviors, and areas of improvement.
  7. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:
    • Collaborate with marketing, R&D, production, and vendor teams to ensure product availability and alignment with market demand.
    • Work closely with the supply chain and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of orders and customer satisfaction.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to increase brand visibility and network with potential clients.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA is a plus).
  2. Experience:
    • At least 8-10 years of experience in sales management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the polymer industries.
    • Proven track record of driving sales growth, managing vendor relationships, and leading high-performing teams.
    • Strong understanding of the polymer market, including key trends, customer needs, vendor management, and competitive landscape.
  3. Skills:
    • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to develop and manage relationships with both vendors and customers.
    • Ability to work cross-functionally and lead change within an organization.
    • Strategic thinking with a focus on long-term goals.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
