Shift Equipment Engineer

Job Description

1. Equipment Maintenance & Repair:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to SMT machines (Screen Printer, pick and place machine and reflow soldering), THT machines(automatic inserter, Wave soldering, selective soldering ,cleaning) ,Test Equipments (AOI,SPI,X-ray) and conformal coating machines.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and software issues on the equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment problems.

2. Equipment Installation and Setup:

• Assist in the installation, calibration, and commissioning of above said electronic manufacturing Equipment.

3. Technical Support and Documentation:

• Provide technical support to production teams and operators on equipment-related issues.
• Maintain and update equipment manuals, technical documentation, and service logs.
• Document service and maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance schedules, repair work, and part replacements.

4. Continuous Improvement:

• Recommend and implement improvements to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.

5. Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and complies with local and international regulations.
• Follow established safety procedures and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment.
• Participate in audits and contribute to maintaining ISO or other relevant certifications.

6. Inventory Management:

• Manage spare parts inventory and maintain adequate stock of essential tools and components to minimize downtime.
• Work with purchasing departments to procure parts and equipment as needed.

7. Training and Knowledge Sharing:

• Train production staff and junior engineers on equipment operations and basic troubleshooting.
• Stay current with the latest technological advancements in manufacturing equipment and maintenance practices.

• Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven min 3 years experience in electronics manufacturing maintenance engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, electrical systems, and mechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience with equipment such as SMT machines, THT machines, Automated soldering Equipments
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ready to work in any shift as shift engineer
