Junior IT Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• End-user Support: Provide technical support to end users for desktop/laptop hardware, software, and peripheral devices. Resolve technical issues through remote or on-site assistance.
• System Setup & Installation: Install and configure new desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices, ensuring proper setup and connectivity.
• Software Management: Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and software tools. Ensure software licenses are properly managed.
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve desktop-related issues including system crashes, application errors, network connectivity issues, and hardware malfunctions.
• System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on desktops and laptops, including updates, patches, antivirus scanning, and backup configuration.
• Configuration Management: Assist in managing desktop configurations through imaging, scripting, and automation tools.
• Security: Ensure that all devices adhere to company security policies, including the implementation of anti-virus, encryption, and security patches.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of support activities, technical issues, resolutions, and user feedback in the help desk ticketing system.
• Network: Learn about the network infrastructure and improve yourself to attend to the network level IT issues.
• Firewall & Switches: Learn about firewall & Switch level configurations and improve yourself to attend the layer 3 issues.
• Purchase and asset inventory: Provide support in the IT related procurement process and maintain asset inventory.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team, network engineers, and system administrators to ensure the smooth operation of desktop systems and provide proactive solutions.
• Training & Guidance: Provide guidance and training to end-users on how to use software applications and resolve minor technical issues.
• Shifts : Must be willing to work in Shifts.
