Job Description
Project Management: Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain schedules based on customer requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all necessary resources are available for projected jobs.
- Monitor project progress against established schedules, identifying any delays or issues that may arise.
- Plan S Curve as per baseline schedule.
- Prepare L4 Schedule on MSP & Primavera P6 as per the requirement of the projects.
- Develop project program dashboard and milestones.
- Communicate schedule updates regularly with relevant stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aware of any changes or adjustments.
- Identify potential conflicts or constraints in project timelines and propose alternative solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and optimize resource allocation.
- Regularly conduct internal reviews with other departments to ensure communication and timely action to plan
- Generate Monthly Progress Reports covering Financial Health, Revenue performance, highlighting areas of improvement or concern.
- Develop Risk Register
- Develop Monthly Portfolio Review Presentation for the Management.
- Interpret and enforce Key Performance Indicators with the external supplier.
- Manage the project team allocating tasks to team members, following their progress in line with Project plan (scope, schedule and budget) till completion. Animate the communication within the team.
- Manage project contract ensuring fulfilment of Schneider Electric contractual obligations and application of its contractual rights.
- Ensure all appropriate actions to timely recover customer receivables (payments ) are done with the support of shared functions.
- Monitor and control Project progress versus budget spending. Ensure full & effective reporting to management (reports, project reviews, ).
- Inform timely the management about project events impacting project performance or compliance with governance principles.
- Identify and take all necessary actions to manage risks and address opportunities. Manage claims & variation orders.
- Act as primary point of contact for the customer organizing all project team interaction with the customer (correspondences, emails, calls, meetings, ...).
- Insure highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Take full accountability over project profitability (cost, cash flow & margin) including forecasting, engagements follow-up & re-forecasting. Ensure timely revenue recognition as per forecast.
- Ensure project team and suppliers are executing the project in full compliance with Schneider-Electric processes, quality instructions and governance principles.
- Take all necessary actions to correct any deviations or quality issues occurring during project execution.
- Be actively involved with Sales & Tendering team to get a successful project handing over.
- Conduct Lessons Learned session with Project team to share feedback.
- Be active in PM Community of Practice.
Site Management Activities
- Create the site execution plan based on the inputs from site and Head office.
- Ensure adherence to execution plan to avoid schedule variance.
- Monitor the execution of the job and ensure that activities are executed within the given budget to avoid cost variance.
- Close coordination with Customer on all site related issues for customer satisfaction.
- Communication with all project stake holder through various means like: Daily progress report, Work progress report, Monthly progress report.
- Ensuring that all the work is carried out as per the quality guidelines avoiding nonconformities.
- Compliance to Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) management on site.
- To get the necessary statutory compliance and abiding them at site.
- Ensuring revenue generation i.e. MRIR etc as per plan and clearing of outstanding with customer.
- Effective vendor management to ensure adequate availability of SE representative as per site/agreed schedule requirement.
- Effective coordination with external and internal resources for commissioning of the system
- Minimum 7-10 Years of experience in the Project Management Domain in Managing high value EPC projects.
- Electrical / Power electrical engineering overview & background in MV/ LV Electrical Distribution networks
