Job Description

Role Description: -


Pertaining to this role, we are looking for a senior finance person, responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing day to day accounting functions in a 360-finance role, supporting one of our British Supplier Businesses.

The role can include designing & executing everyday accounting functions, core bookkeeping functions, 360 knowledge & understanding of purchases & revenue items, documenting and managing the success of various accounting items, & presenting successful results including various high level finance reporting items to the company board at weekly, monthly & quarterly intervals across the various different products & services our Supplier Business would be engaged in combined between Telecoms, Managed IT & Security.

You will be directly reporting to the Finance Director.


Role Requisites: -


  • Qualification BBA/Bcom (Hons Degree mandatory) + Mcom/PGDM preferred
  • Experience At least 4 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), General Ledger accounting R2R (Record to Report), Statutory Financial Reporting, BS Reconciliations, Budgeting & Forecasting.
  • Excellent english communication skills, IELTS/TOEFL/DUOLINGO/CAMBRIDGE/PEARSONS -qualification is preferred.
  • Advanced level expertise of MS Excel.
  • Clear conceptual knowledge of Vendor ledgers, Customer Statements, Credit/Debit Notes.
  • Confident and intuitive with Vendor negotiations.
  • Prior Experience and Knowledge of Customer billing (Preferably of a Telecom product).
  • Previous Experience in company trade-stock keeping is preferred.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
  • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
  • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
  • Day to day bookkeeping & finance duties keeping current & historical accounting pending tasks up-to-date
  • 360-knowledge & understanding of customer billing, technology revenues, technology purchases
  • Costs & purchase management in visual terms
  • Driving day to day accounting functions & up to-date ledgers
  • Commercial negotiations & take the lead in improving purchase lines across British Vendors, distributors alike.
  • Liaising with the wider teams responsible for the dispatch of company hardware e.g., Handsets and SIMs to ensure all purchases deliver end outcomes, & any returns are closely tracked to avoid revenue leakages!
  • Execute all daily general office administration duties effectively as per written process
  • Log all stationery and other office essentials on Stock Smart-sheets, reporting, internal ERP systems.
  • Complete management of Company hardware purchases, active contribution in success behind revenue & purchasing processes in close conjunction with wider teams in order to achieve common company goals.
  • Any other high-level finance 360 role duties as requested
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly MIS reports.
  • Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
  • Assist with other accounting projects.
